As a young woman in Iran, my life was shaped by tradition, even before I understood what it meant. I found myself in an arranged marriage, a future seemingly set in stone. When political strife forced us to flee to Pakistan, my life continued to be a whirlwind of uncertainty and unspoken dreams.

The first glimmers of hope came when we arrived in Canada as refugees. The country was beautiful, the people welcoming, but the constraints of my past still held me tight. The new world inspired me, but the old traditions bound me.

In 2012, I made a choice. A difficult one, but one that was necessary for my own growth and independence - I filed for divorce. Navigating the world on my own was daunting. With no prior work experience, I found myself in humble customer service and sales jobs. It was a start, but I yearned for something more fulfilling, something more authentic.

When I moved to Edmonton, its dry climate took a toll on my skin. Despite the countless premium products I tried, nothing seemed to work. I was at my wit's end, and that's when I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Driven by curiosity and a need for genuine care, I started exploring the wonders of organic cold-pressed oils and butters. My newfound knowledge lit a spark in me. It felt like an awakening, realizing the potential of nature's ingredients and their glaring absence in commercial products.
